Universities and schools
'The museum is sort of becoming a real institution here in Amsterdam,' is what an assistant-professor of the University of Amsterdam said to me after a book presentation at Museum Volkenkunde in Leiden. That is what we like to hear. Students and their teachers pass the museum with some regularity. A surprise in December 2016 for example was a series of visits by first year language students of both Arabic and Hebrew, having to learn how to write scientifically, with an assignment to compose a museum review. For their visit they could, by the way, choose to go to Greenbox Museum or to our colleagues at the Jewish History Museum.
